Of Rights, Children’s Rights And Ad Campaigns That Support Them

The elections just over and done with, and the country is either rejoicing or sulking at what the rest of the nation has voted for. Either way, life goes on. If you’ve voted yesterday, Pinay Media Planner, then pat yourself on the back for exercising your right to suffrage.

If you didn’t get to, make sure you register and vote in the 2016 elections.

Speaking of rights, there is an innovative ad that is targeted for children: A Spanish child-advocacy organization, the ANAR Foundation, put up an outdoor ad whose most important feature is visible only to children: the stark picture of abuse.

Anyone who stands 4’3″ and under will see a bruised version of the child’s in the poster. With this stark picture of abuse is the encouragement to seek help: ANAR’s hotline number is also visible to anyone 4’3″ and under, and is emphasized with the line:

“If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you.”

For anyone taller than 4’3,” however, the poster shows a different message:

“Sometimes child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.”

A message that is both haunting and significant, there is no doubt that this Grey Spain campaign for the ANAR Foundation deserves the attention that it has gotten.

In fact, we spotted Yahoo! featuring this ad on its newsreel last week:

Child Abuse Ad Campaign

We should get more relevant and innovative campaigns such as this, worldwide.
